Lex Out Loud Comedy Series at Pivot!

Livewire Entertainment and Pivot Brewery are proud to present the second installment of the Lex Out Loud Comedy Series! Enjoy Pivot’s wide array of fine craft beverages and delicious grub from Frenchy’s Pizza while you join us in bringing some of the region’s finest up-and-coming comedians!

Headlining the evening is Dan Alten! Dan Alten is a nationally touring comedian from Kentucky who has headlined shows in 30 states playing everything from theaters to punk basements to art galleries to beloved comedy clubs. He has opened for Kyle Kinane, Rory Scovel, Sarah Sherman from SNL, Johnny Pemberton, Hari Kondabolu, rapper Open Mike Eagle, DJ Doug Pound & David Leibe Hart from Tim & Eric, various punk bands with silly names, and a guy at an open mic who tried to throw his father’s ashes into the crowd. He has recorded 2 albums, written a zine, and filmed a pilot for an Amazon Prime stand up show that has still not aired. You will enjoy him and if not you can spit on his car.

Aaron Montez started doing stand-up comedy in Lexington at the age of 16. His “Laid back yet in your face” style, blends an original brand of absurd, yet relatable, material that made the scene quickly take notice. Montez has performed in clubs, corporate events, and festivals across the country, sharing the stage with Mike Epps, Finesse Mitchell, lan Bag, Greg Warren, Preacher Lawson, Chris Redd, Jay Pharaoh, John Witherspoon and many others! He holds 8 competition titles including Open Mic Madness champion and funniest person in Lexington.

Annam Choudhry is a teacher and a comedian from Louisville, Kentucky. She travels all over the country doing standup. She has opened and featured for many comedians including Bob the Drag Queen, Monica Nevi, and Jon Reep, among many others.

MacGregor Lakes is a Lexington comic who is gay and insisted we mention it. Two years into his craft, he has performed in numerous regional spots, already landing a spot among finalists for the 2022 Funniest Person in Cincinnati contest.
