About Us

“My grandmother worked as a Rosie the Riveter during WWII, and her photo has always been inspirational for me. The spirit of the Rosies, the moxie of an underestimated group overcoming a significant challenge through teamwork, is why I created Pivot. Our goal is to apply that spirit to help solve environmental challenges. We use Pivot’s main business, Pivot Brewing Co, as a platform for building communities and promoting environmental change. Our next step is to branch out from the brewery by creating businesses that directly create positive environmental effects.”

Our Community
We are always looking for ways to serve our community better, so contact us if you think Pivot can help with your project or charity.
One way we contribute is by offering our event space for free to non-profits and civic groups. Get in touch with us through our contact form if your group needs a place for meetings or an event.
Projects at the brewery

Solar Panel Installation
We finished our solar panel installation in April 2020, and are looking to cover all of our electricity usage. The people at Solar Energy Solutions were great.

Black is Beautiful
Charity can release
Supporting the Louisville Community Bail Fund. Watch early next year for the next iteration supporting Science Sistas, Inc.

Mask Sewing Campaign
We worked with volunteers from UK and the Woodford County Extension Office to supply materials for more than 500 masks during the late spring.

Yas Queen
Charity can release
Our annual Yas Queen cider release helps support the charitable work of the KY Fried Sisters.

Barktoberfest
We were limited in our ability to host fundraisers for the Lexington Humane Society this year. We were able, however, to include a charity costume contest during our anniversary party.
Outreach

Lobbying
Pivot staff spent time lobbying members of Congress on behalf of the Citizens' Climate Lobby, which is promoting the passage of the Energy Innovation and Carbon Dividend Act.

Race Sponsorship
Pivot is honored to help with Ironcology’s Survive the Night Relays. This race raises funds for the family needs of cancer patients and includes an overnight, team-based Ironman distance triathlon and a team-based marathon.
