“My grandmother worked as a Rosie the Riveter during WWII, and her photo has always been inspirational for me.  The spirit of the Rosies, the moxie of an underestimated group overcoming a significant challenge through teamwork, is why I created Pivot.  Our goal is to apply that spirit to help improve our community and the environment.”

Director of Sales – Retail and Wholesale based in Louisville, KY

We are currently looking to hire our Director of Sales (DS), which is based out of Louisville. This position guides all aspects of our wholesale and retail sales.

Primary Focus: the administration of our taprooms in Louisville and Lexington. On-site administration in Lexington will be minimized as other directors work from this location.

Secondary Focus: the administration of wholesale relationships.

Tertiary Focus: the evaluation of opportunities for retail and wholesale expansion.

Our ideal candidate is a person who:

  • Has a history in hospitality management and business administration, particularly in a small business environment;
  • Has sales experience from the level of representative to manager;
  • Enjoys building relationships;
  • Is proficient with financial modeling, tracking, and evaluation;
  • Has a history of forming and managing cohesive teams; and
  • Is involved in improving the community.


The DS position will:

  • Oversee a few taprooms within Kentucky;
  • Administer Pivot’s sales models, products, and pricing;
  • Coordinate with and provide backup for our Dir. of Marketing;
  • Administer and implement Pivot’s wholesale and direct-to-retail sales;
  • Establish standards and monitor Pivot’s progress; and
  • Explore opportunities for growth.
