Everything is Science: It’s About Time!
Everything is Science, Lexington’s citywide science festival, returns for its fifth year with an exciting new theme: It’s About Time!
6:30 PM: Cultural Narratives of Reproduction in Children’s Literature: The Stories We Tell and Why They Matter – Dr. Shelly Krajny, UK College of Education
7:00 PM: Clocks in Our Brains: Circadian and Seasonal Timing – Dr. Vincent Cassone, UK College of Arts & Sciences
7:30 PM: 13 Ways of Looking at Climate Change in Kentucky – Dr. Lauren Cagle, UK College of Arts & Sciences
What can seem like an intimidating topic is, in reality, quite relatable — from the moment we wake up in the morning, science is happening all around us — at every moment in time. Making science accessible in a fun and interactive way is essential in helping people feel more connected to science and the city of Lexington as a whole.
Speakers aim to bring an uncomplicated approach to topics that we may not initially consider science-related.
All events are free and open to the public. No registration is required.
